International Link Up at Wha’ Gwaan Munchy?!?

Uniting the vibes from the Pacific and the Caribbean Australian singer Nattali Rize and Jamaican musicians of Notis teamed up for an international project, that has just been premiered with the first video on Reggaeville. For the latest episode of Wha’ Gwaan Munchy?!? they revisit their first meeting and the decision to work together, before they reveal what is yet to come from the creative gathering. In the meantime Czech producer Djei Gogo linked up with icon Anthony B to highlight his brandnew Pineapple Kush riddim and German producers of Oneness Records give us an exclusive look into the studio session with Dre Island and Iba MaHr voicing the upcoming Retro Locks selection. To experience reggae not just on record but live, you can watch out for shows and tours by the guest hosts as well as Raging Fyah, Tribal Seeds and Damian Marley.

Fusing history and new styles for Riddim #78

Ancient Future is the title of Protoje’s third studio album, that has the singer gracing the cover of Riddim magazine once more. On 11 Tracks the young talent fuses vintage styles with new school, as he explains in a detailled report. The No-Maddz united with veterans of the business for their debut longplayer. For the article about Sly and Robbie Presents No-Maddz I spoke to both the dub poets and drummer Sly Dunbar and got some interesting insights on the production. Eventually even TJ White, head of TJ Records, disclosed some of his anecdotes for my series on producers.
