Introducing the Zion Youth in Riddim #84

For my first cover story in Riddim I met singer Alborosie in Kingston. The Italian artist left his ego behind and dedicated his new record “Freedom & Fyah” entirely to the prosperity of reggae music. Forget Alborosie and welcome the Zion Youth – that is anyone who lives conscious and loves the genre. That definitely also describes Runkus, who is rather an elder than a youth, feeling 201 years old. He took me back to ancient Egypt and the Roman Empire, as well as his own childhood in Portmore. Aziz Touré travelled not time but to Ethiopia. For his travel diary I contributed a photo gallery.

Thank you Riddim readers – Reggaeville again number 1 in the poll

Again the readers of Riddim magazine voted for their favorite website in the annual poll and awarded Reggaeville with the title for the sixth time in a row. The whole team is extremely grateful for the appreciation, especially because we got to expand our lead by 34%. Of course, we will still be pushing hard this year, delivering news and quality content to ensure the pole for the coming years as well.
