Even though the combination seemed odd at first, musicians Sting and Shaggy surely proved by now that their joint works, an album and a tour, fuse amazingly with benefits for both artists and the fans. After speaking to me about the album for Reggaeville via Skype earlier this year I finally got to meet “Shagging” personally before their show at the Rosenheim Sommerfestival in Germany. Down to earth and with a great sense of humor the two shared insights on the tour, their good habits and interesting hobbies like collecting wigs.

After visiting the Afrika Tage for the last episode of Wha’ Gwaan Munchy?!? and speaking to Inner Circle about the Motherland, I was even more excited to welcome a superstar from that very continent on the show: Stonebwoy from Ghana joined the 43th edition of Wha’ Gwaan Munchy?!? while visiting the Summerjam festival in Cologne, Germany. He shared his experiences in Jamaica and the memories of his beloved mother, and spoke about the Ghanaian music scene, his fusion of Reggae, Dancehall and Afrobeats and the great success of his latest album Epistles Of Mama. His performance at Germany’s biggest Reggae festival was just as well received as Charly Black’s who was also part of the line up. We share live impressions of his concert at Summerjam as well as a piece of Tóke’s new video for Blessed Morning produced by Walshy Fire.
